Skale Tracker

The long awaited tracker of my dreams. Offering what I had been waiting for such a long time: The same shortcuts I'd been used to since Protracker and for the Windows platform and freeware! If you're looking for a nice freetracker with the same commands as FT2, it doesn't get much better than this.

It also offered many new things, such as stereosamples, a mixer interface, use of VST effects and much more.

It was Ruben (Baktery) and Castellón (Spain) who got the idea, and coded the tracker, thus putting a smile back on the faces of many trackers. Many coders had tried replacing Fasttracker II by developing a Windows-based tracker, but no one really suceeded, until now.

Pieces from release 47 to 59 is tracked with Skale Tracker. After that I switched to Renoise. If you're looking for an alternative to Skale Tracker you could try MadTracker.
